Strained trapezius, workout help.

Hello,

I have had a strained trapezius for about 2 months now, physical therapy hasn't helped much, if at all. I have stopped all exercise as per doctor instruction.

I have been really depressed because I haven't been able to work out in the last 2 months. I lost 80 pounds on P90X and feel like I am reverting to my old ways before I really started to get serious about weight loss. I still need to lose 60 pounds to be at my goal, but I feel the number is creeping up.

Does anyone know anything that could help me? Can I start to pick up running with a strained trap? What type of workout could I do? Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hey Acownz, welcome to the forum!

What part of your trapezius is strained? What movements hurt? It seems like you should be able to do most forms of cardio that don't heavily involve the upper body, but what has your physical therapist told you about getting back into activity?
