Str Train Legs, Bodybuild Torso?

Since my torso is purely aesthetic for me and I can't really show off my calves, quads and hams is it possible to somehow combine leg strength training and torso bodybuilding in the same workout routine? Will it work? Will it be effective?

Bodybuilding: 8-12 reps, 1-1:30 min breaks, 3-4 sets, 60-85% RM range, sarcoplasmic hypertrophy, main goal being muscle size.

Strength training: 1-6 reps, 3-4min breaks, 1-3 sets, 90% RM range, miofibrillar hypertrophy, main goal being strength increase

Don't get stuck in text book definitions.

Treat the abs like any other muscle group. Have a day or two in which you use heavy resistance with lower reps. And have a day or two in which you hit higher reps. You'll also help build stronger abs with movements like deadlifts and squats. A stronger muscle has a greater perchance for growth.
