HI!

I'm new in here and I'm hoping that someone have some advices for me cause I'm really strugglin here...
I stopped smokin 3 month ago and I decided before I stopped not to gain any weight so I reduced my calories to 1600 a day. Since then I have just gained and gained weight. I have allways been thin so little look much on me.

I am 5'8 tall and way now about 123 pounds. This doesn't sound much, but it doesn't look like that. I would not have any problems with that if it was muscles and not fat. I would love to have a lean body with nice looking muscels(sorry spelling mistakes)

I exercise the Chalean Xtreme program and I am loving it. And the Turbo Jam! So fun! And it works! BUT heres the problem, I keep gaining more fat! I want the fat % to go down. How do I do this??? I would love to look like this girl Tony (the one with 7 kids) in turbo jam and C.extreme video. I have the same body type as her so I think it could be realistic. And she looks real nice as well:) I love muscles!
Or just to give an example:. I would like to a little bit more muscles than this though.

Is 1600 calories a day to little to get lean or fit? Cause in norwegian forums they say that you have to eat less to loose fat. They recomend me to eat less...Well, it aint workin for me!I eat much more less than I am used to. I went from 3500 calories a day to 1600, and I have always been really thin. But i don't feel particurlarly(?) hungry either.

And I'm reading the book :Everything you need to know about fat loss, so I can get a good meal plan togheter. Is this a good book to follow? Anyone recomanding a good book to follow?

I am a vegetarian, but i do eat egg and cheese. Some fish if i have to.
I dont eat sugars, no candy at all, no pasta og potatoes. Only rice in small portions. I dont eat bread or thoose types og products because I am allergic to whete. I buy veggie food similar to qourn products but they are made on soy protein and low in calories. I do not add sauces etc to the food.

So what do I do?

I feel ya on this one. I don't know if it's a direct result of my quitting smoking, but it seems like in the time since i quit smoking (about 4 months ago now) I have packed on the pounds. I'd say I packed on a good 25 pounds of nothing but gut fat in that time period. Like a very noticeable gain. to the point where friends and family have been pointing it out openly.

Is weight gain like this after stopping smoking a regular thing? I think it is in part due to the fact that I may be supplementing my smoking by stuffing my face with crappy foods. I don't know. I don't want to blame it all on the smoking thing as I know my diet could use some serious work too, but it seems like the two really coincided with one another.
