I'm April Banks. I'm 23 years of age. I was born and live in Los Angeles. I'm now 656 pounds.

My health problems:
- extreme obesity.
- food addiction.
- major depressive disorder.
- anxiety disorder.
- type 2 diabetes.
- high blood pressure.
- abnormal cholesterol levels,
- urinary incontinence.

I can't walk. I need to wear diapers. I need someone to wipe my butt. I need someone to bath me. My life is torture. My health is so bad if I don't change my diet the longest I will live for is weeks. That's the longest. Ever binge I'm rolling the dice with my life. I've been fat all my life. I hate it. My mom recently died at 40 years of age at 632 pounds from a heart attack. My older sister is blind because of Diabetes. My younger sister needs to be home school because of the bullying about her size. I feel like my family is cursed. Sometimes I want to die. But most times I want to live. Today is day 1 of a healthier diet.

Welcome to the forum.
Well done on choosing today to be day 1 of a new healthier diet.
In fact - since I see you posted yesterday - I guess we are already on day 2. :)

I'm sorry to learn of your family problems with weight - but you have to believe that you are strong enough to make your miracle happen.
Tell the people that bring you food that you only want healthy food - and that you mean it - irrespective of how much you later beg them for the other stuff.

I see from your other posting that you have a personal trainer.
Maybe he could show you some chair based exercises which you could do. I would imagine that exercises with resistance bands would be great for you.

Good luck.

Hi April, at 23 you have along life ahead of you if you act fast. I am really not an advocate for using a pill for weight loss, but in this case you may want to consider one. I have read many articles on an ADHD drug that doctors have started to prescribe for binge eating disorders. It is called Vyvanse. Even though you have high blood pressure and abnormal cholesterol levels and diabetes, you may want to speak to him/her about some pharmaceutical help. Also, it may help aid in your depression. Continue on with the healthy diet. It will not be easy but if you want to live to must do something now. Keep your head up! Believe me, anything is possible. Hard work and perseverance! Nothing good comes easy. Good luck to you and I pray you find help. This seems like something that you will need a lot of support accomplishing but I know you can do it!

April, I just read over some of your other postings. I agree with Rebel with the calorie need thing. From what you said you are eating, it sounds like torture! Maybe try 3 balanced meals or better yet 6-8 mini meals! Calculate what your body needs as far as calories go, and cut that number by anything less and you will lose weight! If you make it so hard at first it will be hard to stick to it. You did not become this heavy overnight so you know it will take some time to get you where you want to be. Rebel seems to have some great advise as she has been in the same boat, so to say, and can provide you with the support you need. Good luck to you girl!
