Anyone got info or links to articles about sterioids and how they affect the hormones? like how they actually work:p i got a school project about genital hormones.. if thats what you call it in english:p and tesotsterone is the genital hormone of men, so i thought i could take advantage of you guys and see if you have any info:p

so, ive read that if you take sterioids when ur like 15, your growth will stop (height wise). But testosterone increeses height growth when its released natrually in puberty.. why is it that taking steroids will stop the growth? when steroids is testosterone, and its suppose to increese growth..
 
Because exogenous testosterone closes the growth plates (in a very simplistic nutshell). Once the growth plates are closed, you are done growing. period. end of story.

That and it would be plain stupid for a 15 year old to take steroids anyway.
