The America on the Move organization is getting geared up to do another challenge, similar to the WOMAN challenge a while back.

Basically you find ways to add more movement & cut calories.

" Make two small changes every day throughout September by moving more and eating smarter. As your small changes add up, so will your chances to win GREAT PRIZES!"

so.... how we all doing with this? I'm usng the pacific crest trail and just passed Death Valley - boy is it hot out here :)
 
Wait how did you get a trail. It just gives me tips & a game to see if I get 3 pictures the same in a row.. dang I'm missing out here.

I thought it seemed really lame this time.
 
When you login to the website

go to your profile

and there's an option for your current route.. which you can always change mid-route if you want to go more challenging or less challenging


the Idatrod is 6300 steps a day
the silk route is 4300 steps a day
the UK national is 4600 steps a day
the Oregon Trail is 8200 steps a day
the Pacific Crest is 10,000 steps a day

If you look to the left when you're logged in - it tells you how m any steps you've walked since starting the challenge and how many steps you have to do to complete it by the date given.
 
You have recorded a total of 198,297 steps since beginning your new challenge on Sep 01, 2007.

To complete Pacific Crest by Oct 13, 2007 you need to walk an average of 6640 steps a day.

so that's basically walking tot he bathroom and back a few times a day... cool...

I finished the challenge and nuthin'...

436,825 = 2650 miles = 165 steps a mile? i think their calculations are a wee bit off :D
 
AH dang those lazy hot oiled up guys that were hired to carry you across the finish line & fan you down as they feel you frozen grapes to cool you down.

The must be on strike.
