Ok, this is kind of a rant and I'm not looking to be flamed here and I'm not a narrow minded homophobe BUT... I finish my lifting tonight, I'm totally drained and sit down in the steam room to relax for a bit. Right, I've paid my membership fees and I've got the right to do this in peace. This guy walks in a few minutes later and sits not more that 2 feet from me - this is a huge steam room with plenty of space. I sit there for about 10 sec thinking it's kind of weird and I just move to the sauna. What do you know, 2 minutes later he walks into the sauna and sits 2 ft away from me again. He even moves my water bottle over to sit there! I say to him "listen I'd like a little space, would you mind sitting over there?", He says "Where are you from?" So I say "Look, I don't want to have a conversation and I don't want you sitting here, so move the F*** over there". Thankfully he walks out of the sauna. I don't know if it was the testosterone from the workout or what, but wanted to deck this guy. I mean someones sexual preferences are their own business, but whatever it is it needs to kept at bay in inappropriate places. What would you have done in this situation?

It sounds to me like he was hitting on you. I think I might have been a little less confrontational and not dropped an F bomb in my second sentence and maybe just have left or moved over. I dunno what I would have done. But, I certainly would not have stayed that close in an empty sauna.

One time in Atlantic City we had a hotel room at the Ceasars with sauna/jacuzzi/tanning bed (salon sort of) access. My friend and I went down there to hang out. Well they had three jacuzzis, one with 104 degree water, 95 or something and one at 50. Not that that matters though. Anyways I am sitting there and this naked guy plops down about 2 feet away, with noone else in the same tub.

I've only ever had one experience where I thought a guy was trying to hit on me in the sauna. He sat opposite me and opened his legs wide and let his tackle hang over the end of the bench directly in front of me. I just laughed a little and kept my eyes pointed in a different direction. He might have just been someone who likes flashing though but I'll take it as a compliment anyway :yelrotflmao:

I havent ever had that problem in the sauna but this guy gave me a spot in the gym and had baggy shorts on.....

I just finished swimming w/ the kids (during the summer I'm a counselor at the YMCA for 5-8 year olds and we have to do an hour of swim time with them) and decide to chill in the sauna for a bit. So I go in there with my towel around my waist, nobody else is in there. It's a small one, maybe like 10x12ft and then like 2 older dudes just walk in naked and sit down and like look at me. Awkward? ya. so I just sat there for like another 10 seconds then decided I'd leave. Put a damn towel on =\ why go into the sauna naked huh cmonnnnnn and if you do, while you're naked, don't stare at the 16 year old. geez lol
