I am 58 years old and had Thyroid Papillary Carcinoma in both my thyroid glands, and both were removed 2 months apart. It has been 1 year and I am still trying to lose the weight gained. I went from 160 to 214 during the time I had the thyroid cancer and didn't know it.
I have lost weight and gained back, I got down to 188 in October then my Synthroid was decreased twice and I gained that weight back up to 203 right now. This is so discouraging.....I am 5' 10" and my BMI says I am "obese" now.
My Endocrinologist told me to walk 3 miles a days, I feel so hypo and fatigued...ugh.
Are there any folks out there who have gone through this and gotten back to normal weight again??
