Stationary recumbent exercise bike

I'm looking for advice on buying a stationary recumbent exercise bike. I'd love any tips you can give me in my search for the right bike for my needs. At this point, my bottom line is "the best bang for my buck," but I will, no doubt, be able to get more specific as a discussion unfolds.

Thanks.

EDIT: I live in the Los Angeles area (but would take advantage of the internet distributors that offer free shipping if that would give me the best bang for my buck). And at this point my bottom line (price I'm willing to spend) is still "best bang for my buck" i.e. I'm open on the price until I learn more about the product.

It would help you you mentioned what country you were from and how much you wanted to spend.

Hi - I can probably help you if you're still looking!

(well, I can help with advice, not with supplying you one - I'm in the UK).

You can actually get a good exercise bike for a lot less that the equivalent quality treadmills or elliptical. I've got a Life Fitness one () which is excellent - sturdy, comfortable, easy to use... but it's quite expensive.

If you're still looking, let me know and i'll give you some advice.

lakatz, read my thread "Review - i've had my everlast stationary bike for a month now". I did quite a bit of research and wanted the best bike for the money. I only spent 300 dollars and I'm really enjoying the bike. Let me know if you have questions. If it matters, I bought it at Academy sports and outdoors if they have those in Ca. Take care, Greg
