You are also allowed to drink juice on this diet if you are feeling weak, or maybe two bowls of cereal. You have to really know the limits of your body before undertaking this program.

i'm honestly debating if i should take this poster seriously and try to help, or just flame them into the ground for trying this absolutely idiotic method for weight loss....

I'm actually thinking that this is the kind of post the moderators should remove. Encouraging suicidal stupidity isn't something this site should be about.

You all are free to comment if you wish, but this diet is just for me and my accountability. I just need somewhere to post and track my progress where more than one person can view it. I will not be posting any further, only to update my progress. Thanks.

Whilst i realize the desperation to loose weight, i dont think you understand the implications of eating so little, and i don't just mean weight loss.
I mean muscle loss, as in heart and lungs etc. You are being a complete idiot, and if you continue with this sort of diet, you will not be welcome here.

If you are interested in actual weight loss, properly without silly starvation diets or pills, we are only too happy to help you out and give you advice or information (there is tons in the sticky threads). But in no way will we support you with this starvation diet sorry

Liz

So scale going down = success for you?

Not health going up?

Not functionality/performance going up?

Not well-being improving?

Not sustainability of habits to ensure lasting results?

I think you need to think about these questions.

this one being most important. so what happens when you reach your goal weight and look like shit from every last ounce of musclemass being stripped off you. not to mention you'll have the metabolism of a rock. Anything you eat above your maintenance of like 500 calories a day will go right into fat stores and stay there. I can assure you the end result of this "diet" will be you being fatter than before you started it..

Are you going to be eating a bowl or two of cereal for the rest of your life? At some point you are going to go back to eating regular meals and the weight will come back on quicker than you thought you took it off. Keep doing what you are doing, and you will get thin, sick and dead. And if that doesn't happen, you will be overweight again in a few short months. I have done this numerous times and had to come to the realization that I will always be fat if I didn't change my lifestyle, there is no easy way to lose weight and keep it off, and starvation is NO WAY to do that. Your body is an amazing vessel, but, you are abusing it and it will not forgive that easily. Just my 2 cents.:banghead:

Amen! And very sick! fainting, bowels all messed up, on and on....not smart at all! Some people just need to learn their lesson the hard way, I was one of those people.

I won't comment on the original poster since I think you all are doing a wonderful job of pointing out the idiocy of that route, but Steve, I really needed to read this today! I've been stuck at 180 for a while now and I have made in this 5 months plateaus some gains in a lot of other areas that you mention here. I really have to keep that in perspective. Maybe it's time to just enjoy working out and my kdis for the last 5 weeks they are off school and put the scale away until then. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised when I step on it then.

Thanks!

I'm new to weightloss, but I would think that if you have the willpower to just eat a bowl of cereal a day, you could probably manage the willpower to change your eating habits into a healthier form.
Speaking as someone overweight who loves food, wouldnt that be more satisfying in the long run? To be able to feel fulfilled physically and mentally?
