Starting working out again, advice?

Hello, new to this forum.

I started working out again a few days ago, after several years.
My plan is to take it moderately easy for about a week, and then start to work out hard.
I wonder if this is adviceable? I don't want to go to the gym, but use my dumbbells and exercise bike at home.
I used to work out the same way earlier, and i've never had any injuries.
I've had a job for about two months which involves some heavy lifting, so I'm not completely untrained.
(25 years old, if that's relevant)

TL;DR: Is it adviceable to work out hard after just a couple of weeks?

(sorry for imperfect english, not first language.)

There is nothing wrong with hitting it hard, as long as you do not have any major health concerns that need to be addressed. But the question is, what do you mean when you mean hitting it hard. Are you referring to length of time per session, sessions per week, or intensity of your sessions. My suggestion is that you work a full body routine (about 12 exercises in total) for 2-3 sets per exercise at 15-20 reps or failure (can not do more), 3 times per week.

Eventually your actual program design will be completely determined by the goal you want - weight loss, muscle gain, overall fitness etc.
