Starting my journey now!

Hi, Im new to this site.

For a long time I have been wanting to start my healthy weight-loss journey and I have finally decided to start. I am in my early 20s not largely over weight, I would just like to slim down a little bit and have a healthy lifestyle.
For the past two months I have been using my new nutribullet every morning to make yummy healthy drinks which are usually my breakfast meal. I hardly ever drink fizzy drinks and never drink coffee. Also tomorrow I plan on joining up at the local gym and beginning my slow but steady journey. Only thing is I work on a rotating rosters doing different hours day to day, week to week, so it is hard to set up a routine for me as quite often I am eating and will be working out at all different times..

Just wondering if anyone has any tips for starting off my exercise plan? Just cardio? or certain exercises or would yoga or something else be a good plan? I try to swim a few laps twice a week.

hi i'm also new here i wish you good luck in your journey! i think that swimming is one of the best exercises we can do to lose weight so keep it up :)
 
might want to check out the paleo diet for healthy eating. Also running and swimming is adequate enough I think
