Starting again!

Hi guys!

Let me introduce myself... My name is Elisha and I live in England.
I have always been overweight and back in 2014, I finally got my act together and starting eating better and exercising. I became addicted and love working out and could see the changes and I felt loads better for it, I lost 3 stone in 5 months!
I then get into money problems and I couldn't afford the gym and I gave up eating healthy. I'd graduated from university in July 2015 and got a job I had to travel 2 hours everyday and I hated it, I comfort ate and suffered from severe depression. My life went from great to bad in a space of a year! I have now got a new job which I love and I now am looking at getting back on the healthy eating and exercising wagon! Im still suffering from depression but nowhere near as bad as it was, I cant find the courage to go to the gym by myself and the thought of exercising at the moment is just too daunting. Im eating better but I want to start exercising again.
If there is any tips that you could give me or words of motivation. I would appreciate it loads!
Thanks :)

Welcome Elisha. Great to have you here.

I can't pretend to understand what you are going through with your depression, but I've heard many times that exercise is one of the best things for depression. To help you get back to the gym, you could try to get a workout partner that is in a similar boat. Or, there are 100's of exercises that you can do at home to get you started ... could to burpees, squats, etc ... focus on full body exercises and do 3 or 4 of those a day. I find that Nike has a great app for doing at-home workouts.

I have been told this too and I've slowly started doing it. I've been doing an exercise dvd which is better than nothing. I've tried convincing my boyfriend to come to the gym with me but he's not a fan, so I'll have to stick to the dvd for now and see how it goes. I'll definitely check out the Nike app.
Thanks
