Hi all

Well Im a compulsory lurker on this site but have been know to make a couple of posts :p .....so I have had the hugest summer big bushfires and well I ate a lot of stuff that I shouldnt have so Im back on the Cohens bandwagon. I only have 6 kilos to lose but thats enough.

I have just passed my police entry fitness test so am hoping to lose the extra weight I have put on before I go onto my next medical assessment. :)

Good luck to all who are on the program I have done it before and I know how easy it is and how good you feel at the end :D and I only have myself to blame for the increase in weight again

Hi Sashie

Welcome back.

I lost 6 kg in my first 4 weeks.

Think of the others who have been on this for longer and are still preservering.

You can achieve this.

All the best

Sam:)

sashie can i ask a quick question?

the reason for your weight gain : were you excersising / not excersising enough? /eating carbs all the time? eating throughout the day?

Hi

Well basically I went over seas for two months last year and well europe is full of carbohydrates not really much else to eat and I drank a lot of beer whilst I was over there. That was ok I really didnt gain any weight because I was walking being a tourist so much. :)

When I got back we went into summer, my job is a bush fire fighter so with the summer we have just been through it was very busy, yes I got my share of fitness but basically from the start of december until mid february I was ont he fire line. They feed you three meals a day and those meals are bsically fat and carbs, unfortunately there wasnt much I could do about it I had to eat what was put in front of me I needed the energy but most times it was to much energy and of course that turned into fat.

So I guess in answer to your question it was basically a carb overload due to circumstances I couldnt control

well done for coming back - I am doing the same now. Lost 7kg in Jan and Feb - which I thought was not a great result... anyway. Had overseas visitors for a month - which meant alcohol and some bad carbs occationally... then came down with flua nd statred a new job 2 weeks ago - very stressful time - but I put on about 3kg and am on Cohens now for another month to lose my last 7kg. May extend into May if the Dr will let me. I am being exceptional so far! Its hard though. Good luck Sashie and well sone for trying again.

I am finding it harder and harder... keep finding myself having a little cheat here and there - as I am getting hungrier... and just losing interest too - so close yet so far feeling. I have so many work social events and commitments that the being on diet thing is getting very old and stale to those I work with! I just think of food constantly now and what I will have when I finish - its not good at al - I feel like I am losing energy and wiped out
Any ideas on what I can do please?
