Started working out a few weeks ago need advice

I'm going to be joining the military I've already talked with my recruiter and I have about a month until my pst(physical fitness test) and I need to be able to swim 500yards under 11 minutes and run 1.5miles in under 12 minutes.

The swimming isn't so bad I swim 800-1100yards every morning so I can do that already probably. But even in high school I've never done any running I've been practicing running on a treadmill every other day but I don't feel like I'm progressing at all. I can run a half mile-three quarter mile before getting very tired.

I just don't feel I'm making any progress at running and I am desperate for tips.

Don't pressure yourself with a deadline, you will likely pick up an injury and thats that then.

Try interval training on alternate days? This should pick up your fitness faster.
