Started the weight loss a couple months back ..

Heya, My name is Liz
I started my weight loss about 2 months back almost (give or take a week). Ive lost 20kg so far just about, though i did not weigh myself for a couple weeks so ive just estimated some of that :)
Ive been calorie counting and going to the gym combined with vibra training and generally trying to be more active (going swimming on weekends or playing sports). I was 145kg(319.7lb) to start with around about and now im 126kg(277.8lb). Thats about 19kg(41.89lb) loss so far.

I have to get to 90kg(198.4lb) to be able to donate my kidney to my brother - this is great motivation however its not my only motivation :)

Anyway I used to be skinny at school (star athlete even), and even afterwards for a few years until i had kids. I think i gained 10kg for each kid and never lost it. Then of course I just gave up trying and became a glutton!

So the end of my Gluttonous days, my pants are baggy and im looking more like some trendy kid or MC Hammer.

So thats my story anyway :):)

P.S I am a nurse and spent some time on the renal ward looking after transplant patients, you are a wonderful person to give your brother such a precious gift :D

Haha Thanks, probably stems from hanging around my teenage son and some of my younger friends o_O, alternativly i could just be plain crazy :D

Its funny though, i knew kind of that i had to eat less and basic calories in and calories out and exercise, but i didnt understand the whole idea (IE never heard of BMR, thought i had to live on lettuce and run 24/7 type thing).

The fact that Ive been able to enjoy treats such as KFC, Butter Chicken with the curry group i go out with, chocolate etc and still be well within my diet astounds me! Its inspired me to learn more, and I have! Ive been studying heaps and now am thinking about seriouslly getting qualifications and helping others loose the weight.

My goal however is to loose my own weight and learn more for now - the rest i'll leave until then :)
