I am following a diet, but can't get rid of craving Starbucks.
I do still have a Frapuccino once every two weeks, or every 3 weeks.
I order a Grande Caramel Frap with no Whipping cream.

Is anyone like me? I am a Starbucks addict!

This will make you give it up...

Grande Caramel Frap with no Whipping cream
Total calories - 280
with 48grams of sugar.

When your in the kitchen, weigh out 48g of sugar and see what it looks like!!!

Juice!

i started drinking coffee when i was 9 years old. over a few years, i worked my way up to 5 cups a day and when i didn't get enough i got terrible headaches. i started to slowly ween myself off of it when i was 16 by replacing one cup a day with a glass of juice for a week, 2 cups a day for a week, 3 cups a day, and so on. now im down to just one cup in the morning with breakfast and a grande apple cider from starbucks every once in a while or when they have it. it took about a 2 months to fully recover, but i feel much better now and i dont rely on caffine boosts to get me through the day. when you get a craving try, try replacing the frapuccinos with a glass of 100% juice. the sweet sugary taste should help, while greatly reducing the calories. Good Luck!

No dont drink juice, thats even more sugar.
If you drink 16oz orange juice it works out to 51g of carbs and 220calories.

Juice is bad. very very bad. Juice is fruit without the goodness.
The good part of the fruit is the flesh, skin, pith, core, etc... not the juice.

Well spoken, there is a ton of sugar in juice - although it may not be as bad as Starbucks artificial sweeteners, it won't do your insulin very good either. Stick to water and actual fruits :)

buy a lot of lemon ... than get a normal water bottle and squirt some lemon in it ...

doing this helped me get rid of all high calorie drinks ...

now I only drink skim milk in the morning and water for the rest of the day !!

good for you, I have many friends in your position, so i have an idea how hard it can be !!

What I've been getting at starbucks when I need a caffine/starbucks fix is a Grande non-fat milk vanilla latte with sugar free syrup.

The sugar free and non-sugar free tastes the same to me. The entire drink is 20g of sugar, which is less than half of what you've been getting. Get the iced version to substitute the frap.

Juice is mostly sugar, but I could see using it as a temporary transition. It's kind of hard to go from a thick sugary drink to water.

Juice is by far not the best thing to be drinking, but the idea isn't bad. Go from sugary coffee drink to juice to water - as a stepping stone on the way to the best choice.

What about something like low calorie cranberry juice, which is 40 calories per serving instead of the usual 120. If you dilute it with water its even less.

They make a "light" frap now. I think they use splenda instead.
