Stand Up Comedy Favorites

I feel like the quality of stand-up comedy has declined a lot lately, who are you all into these days? Seems like everyone is all over Dane Cook but I’ve always been more of a Russell Peters kinda guy.
 
Mitch Hedberg is always funny, too bad he's dead.
 
No clue who those guys are so I'll post a few Brits instead ;)

Eddie Izzard
Billy Connolly
Ed Byrne
Peter Kay

These are the only guys I've seen live they were all superb. But, if I had to pick a favourite, it would be Ricky Gervais - pure comic genius :)

Dave Chapelle

Just to name a few. Robin Williams Live on Broadway is by far my Fav.
 
I saw a guy on comedy central who played guitar and piano while he told jokes, and he was the funniest i've seen in awhile(forget his name). Dane Cook was good before everyone found out about him. Now it's just annoying when people quote him.
 
Dave Chappelles 'Black White Supremacist' is brilliant, we hardly get anything of Chappelles stuff in the UK. The same goes with Chris Rock, i know that both are largely contextual to society in the USA but we're not all so cacooned in our EU bubble as to not understand foreign humour.

Big difference between not understanding something and not finding it funny. Can't comment on Chappelle as I've not seen/heard any of it. Chris Rock doesn't do it for me but, I think thats more down to his delivery than his humour - although, he can get political at times.

I've only seen a couple stand-ups by Mitch but they were really funny (even though he was cracked out half the time). For the people who don't know who he is:
