Sports & building muscle?!

hey all. i just started working out not too long ago, and im dieting right and everything, but i like to aggressive rollerblade and do some other sports that are obviously cardio. and i know that doing cardio while body building is a no no. but is there anything i can do to optimize my working out so that i can build as much muscle while still doing these activities? like should i eat more carbs, protien, etc?? any advise would be useful, thanks.
 
If you are in deed participating in a lot of cardio type exercises make sure you're protein intake is 1-1.5 grams per pound of LBM. Make sure you're doing a weight training program also to minimize you losing LBM. Target you're whole body with bigger movements e.g. squats and the variables, dead lifts and the variables, benching lifts and the variables, military press, pull-ups, chin-ups. This will maximize muscle growth. And if you see yourself losing LBM increase carbohydrate intake slightly.
 
Thats fine but make sure you don't create a muscle imbalance. If you get one half of your body stronger than the other you won't be as strong as you should be. Keep an eye on that. Strive for semetry in lean body mass and strength.
