Spinning & Kickboxing

Hello everyone!

I need some advice!

I hit a plateau about a month or two ago. I initially lost about 63 lbs in a span of 10 months. I did weight training w/ a personal trainer 3 times a week and did cardio 6 times a week. But then I hit a plateau and couldn't afford my trainer anymore. I decided to take up spinning & kickboxing.

I still have another 40 lbs to lose and I was wondering if I am overdoing it or not doing enough. How can I get out of my plateau?

I am currently doing an hour of intense spinning 6 times a week an an hour of kickboxing 4 days a week. The minute spinning is over I jump right onto kickboxing and then every other day I do weight training.

Thanks :)

You have to be careful not to do too much otherwise you'll be burning too many calories, so you won't be consuming enough.

Besides, would you really be able to exercise that much for the rest of your life? I think you should remember that past a certain point, you going to hard. Past a certain point, you won't lose any more than the healthy 2 lbs.

I can understand that you are anxious to lose the remaining 40, but I think you should chill out a bit more. You've down so well already, that it will only get better from here.

That's my opinion anyway, so I hope I didn't offend you.

No offense taken ;)

I used to kickbox for an hour 3 times a week, with the occassional run, and that was the skinniest I ever was. I ate mostly healthy, but being a younger teenager, I didn't really care too much. I think that may be a bit much...I know that in the past when I have shaken up my routine with different exercise and different eating my body has responded really well. Good luck to you!
