Sport Spaghetti Sauce?

Sport Fitness
I love spaghetti, just not by itself. Would it hurt to add some sauce to it, say Ragu? It says it is 100% natural, with no added preservatives. The only funny thing i saw on the ingredient list was corn syrup. So what do you say, safe or not?

I eat spaghetti sauce all the time. You can find better alternatives than Ragu or other typical stuff with added sugars and tons of salt.

My wife makes it from scratch now but there was a brand I used to get..Bove's It's more expensive, but you can make sauce yourself for pennies

Last time I tried Ragu (years ago), I thought it was too sweet (like ketchup). Same with Prego.

However, several other brands of sauce of minimal or no added sugar.

If you have some time, you could always make some with tomatoes, tomato paste, onions, garlic, spices, and whatever else you like in your sauce.

I use Classico brand spaghetti sauce. This seems to be a pretty healthy option. They also have a lot of different flavors.

If you want to buy instead of making your own, Trader Joe's sells an organic marinara sauce that is both low fat & low sodium that tastes pretty good. It's not too bad in terms of amount of added sugar (I think it has some form of cane juice in there).

depending on your current goals (bulking/cutting/maintaining), its the pasta you might need to be thinking harder about.

There's some good stuff from a company called Roma, its called Pasata, its just puree'd tomatoes, cheap stuff too!
