Sport Spaghetti and chicken....

Sport Fitness
I am thinking of combining the two somehow for dinner....I have boneless skinless chicken tender type things....does anyone have any thoughts as to what I can do with them??

Maybe some pesto sauce and some white (Cannellini) beans, and if you're feeling adventurous some toasted pine nuts.

Or you could make a classic tomato sauce and throw in some melted mozzarella (part skim if you want)

Some olive oil and some vinegar and just mix it up.

Not sure, I made all of these up on the spot, but I'm italian so pasta is what I'm all about (even though I don't eat any of the pasta on my campus because i would not possibly be able to like it, which is driving me insane). I would say that the first one would taste the best though. Or do something else, let me know how it goes.

Where I'm kinda limited on ingredients, it will have to be just spaghetti, tomato sauce and chicken. All mixed together. Hmmm...perhaps the cheese is a good idea, though. I could sprinkle just enough on the plates to make it interesting! Thanks for the idea! :)

I cut up the chicken , mix it with mixed vegetables and put it over whole grain noodles with a little olive oil...one of my staples

Hmmm....I will have to try that next time. We pretty much just had spaghetti w/sauce and cut up chicken....everyone raved, so I guess it was good I stuck with plain. LOL It WAS yummy, though!

I use salt free seasoning I get at costco (Mrs. Dash will work) on the chicken.

Mix oregano and garlic into the noodles if you want to get fancy

That's pretty much my "fall-back" meal Beth (or is it Wendy? - as in 2hott4u?)

Anyway, I can't stand shredding chicken - so when I do, I do a lot of it, then freeze some in ziplock bags. If I'm running behind, I just do some spaghetti sauce, the chicken, and whole grain pasta - sprinkled with reduced fat mozz, of course, b/c I can't live w/out cheese. I also like to throw in some chopped spinach.

If I have more time when I'm making spaghetti (either w/ chicken or ground turkey) - I put some carrots in the food processor and cook it in - you can't taste it, and the kids eat it up.

My poor kids hahaha. Whole wheat pasta, chicken or ground turkey, no-salt added tomato sauces, chopped spinach, and "hidden" carrots ---- they don't even know the difference. (insert evil conniving grin here)

Ok, now that sounds about as bland as I've heard the food is up there (it's alll "up there" to us).

I mean, I know we tend to like our food spicy down here, but dang - that's bland.

I guess some MrsDash, garlic, and oregano, would help - but without it?

Speaking of cooking - do you do the cooking for the family as well, Gooch (Mr.Mom :p)? What is the arrangement there?

Well, it's certainly not spicy, but it tastes good....I always season the chicken, but not usually the noodles I also make a lot of things with habanero and horseradish as spices...sometimes sriracha sauce if my sodium has been low that day. We take turns cooking dinner, my wife likes to cook.

I couldn't believe there could be so many posts on how to combine spaghetti and chicken, I finally had to see what this was all about :yelrotflmao:
