Sport Spacing meals apart.

Sport Fitness
So at work I almost always have a six inch sub from subway, loaded with protein and probably calories too. It has 4 pieces of turkey, 2 roast beef, and 2 ham. then tons of veggies. Anyway I use to just eat this all in one go, and then I heard about eating little and often for some reason or another.

I decided to eat one part of the sub at 11 o clock and then the rest at 1:30 now. Is this doing me any good whatsoever? If so what?

Thanks

eating 5-6 small meals a day, every 2 1/2 hours - 3 hours, will be beneficial. Helps keep ur metabolism up.

hmph, one of the moderators confirmed that eating often doesn't raise metabolism.. so much inconsistency with this health stuff. We're in the stone age with it, it's weird.

Eating often doesn't raise your metabolism, that is a common misconception, mostly a trick to just get people to eat more often because it does do good things, just not things that are easy to explain quickly. If you want to get Really technical it can raise it to some degree as eating more food means breaking down more food which means more work for the body, more calories burned, yada yada....

Still no huge difference.

Eating 5-6 BALANCED MEALS is good for fat loss because...

-Lowers insulin spikes
-Provides constant repair while in a caloric deficit
-Keeps more hunger at bay
-Keep energy levels solid

Etc, etc

You do not have to eat often to loss fat, it is though an optimal method.
