soreness 2 days after workout

Hey guys

started my new workout on monday . Its a kind of endurance training workout
I do 3 sets bench with 15 reps. 30 seconds break in between, with heaviest weight I can lift . I do it with 7 or 8 other exercises also with same reps/sets.

2 days later and I am still feeling the soreness in my pecks especially.

Its annoying as i'm afraid to go back to the gym till I have no pain in case i cause more damage.

Any idea why this is?
Any suggestions on how to reduce the pain etc?

any help would be much appreciated.

DOMS tend to last for a couple days. Don't worry, this is normal for someone starting a new workout. By now, you should still be able to go back to the gym, even if there's some soreness left.
 
Hey make sure you're getting in some recovery drinks/meals within the post-workout window of opportunity. That'll reduce the time you need to spend in between visits. Endurance is all about recovery!

What you eat doesn't significantly affect how long DOMS last or how severe they are. DOMS are caused by muscle damage and swelling, and no matter how much or what you eat, your body simply needs time to recover.
