Please tell me what I should do: =(

I'm 15 years old. I'll be 16 in about a month and a half. I'm a male.

I weighed about 156 lbs. I wanted to lost weight. So, I decided to only eat 1500 calories per day. Is this right to lost weight?

Anyway, I walk nearly everyday for about 30 minutes. I also dance (I'm involved in a show downtown.)

After the first week, I stepped on the scale, and I weighed 151 lbs. I was extremely happy, because I couldn't believe I lost that much weight in a week.

So now, for week 2, I've been (almost unintentionally) eating around 1000 calories per day. I walked and I danced more. So, I just stepped on the scale, and I was 150 lbs. ??? Why did I lose 5 lbs. in one week and only 1 lb. in another?

Is there something wrong with the number of calories I eat? Should I change my program? Should I exercise more?

I feel like I have a body where my fat is just permanent and I can't lose it. Is this true?

Sorry, I'm just really upset. Please reply. I don't know what to do.

Thats the second week wall my friend.
It happens to the best of us.
Its sorta like your body going into shock after losing that amount the first week.

Absolutely not.
Unless its something genetic, the fact that you lost 5 pounds in the first week is proof you can and will lose more.
Some weeks the scale will go down and others it might not move much at all.

What is most important is that you try to lose weight in a healthy way, with a healthy goal weight.
I cant comment on your calorie intake, perhaps others can.
But so long as you get those daily walks in and eat well, you will drop the pounds.

So everyone who diets has a 'great' first week---why? Because your body has stopped retaining water, most people lose between 5-7 pounds the first week because their body lets go of the extra water it's been holding onto. Wahoo though! 5 pounds of water weight is gone and now your body is focusing on losing fat, and let's face it---it took you a long time to put on the extra pounds, it's going to take some time to get it back off. Most people average a weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week (after the initial water-weight loss). So yippee, 1 pound of you is gone forever!!! Keep up the good work and don't get discouraged!

I would never eat less than 1200 calories a day...1200 calories a day is considered starvation lol.

But yea the first week is always some massive loss than after that it slows down but man my friend if you are 150 lbs thats already impressive. I'd say if your at least 5'7"ish you have to look fine.

Hell I'm 6'0" and weigh 210 lbs and I just look a little pudgy anyway don't undereat because your body will go into starvation.
