some jogging questions

will a 45 minute jog burn more fat than a 10 minute HIIT if done 3 times a week?

The reason i'm asking this is because I want to know if jogging is actually a better fat loss method than HIIT (except for jogging causing muscle loss).

I was thinking....
would catabolisis (however it's spelt) be too much of a problem if I was just to do jogging instead of HIIT, and then once I've lost my gut fat switch to weight training to get my muscle mass back again?
 
I can't say about the "10" minutes part - but according to what I have read from numerous sources, HIIT is way more beneficial becuase it burns more fat (not necessarilly cals). :::WARNING - PLUG::: Check out the latest issue of Men's Fitness for some great info on different types of HIIT for different types of results, i.e. fat loss or endurance.
