some advice?

hello, ive been running off an on for almost a year now and ive noticed (ive always noticed as a kid too) that my left calf muscels (i dont know how many there are or what they are called sorry) are tighter then in me right leg. I have always been flexable all over, except for this area, and no ammount of stretching changes this:( It doesnt really bother me day to day, but when i started exercising and doing sorts i noticed how much i favor the left and overuse the right. also if i stop paying attention to this while exercising my left leg drags a bit and it definatly staps me out of my daze as i try not to trip on the treadmil.
so...does anyone have any advie on how to fix this, or why this happened to my left calf? thanks!
