Some advice to get me started

Hi.

I am a 23 year old male, and weigh about 180 pounds. People would describe me as skinny but I would like to get rid of excess fat (evil lovehandles) and more importantly just improve my overall fitness level. I play soccer throughout the year at least once a week and would like to improve my stanima.

I live in a condo with a workout room so I really have no excuses.

I just sometimes go there and have no clue what to do. There are treadmills/elipticals as well as your basic weightlifting stations.

Ive been told to get some type of whey protein to take after I workout and before I go to bed, and have also been told I should look into some Omega-3 from fish oil supplements. A problem I have is that I HATE cooking and usually take the easy way out and eat things like grilled cheese, chicken/rice.

I suppose my question is how should I attack this? Go with the protein and supplements, and focus on cardio? How much should I do? I understand similar questions have been answered, just felt the need to get some personal advice to kind of kickstart me.

Have you read the stickies?

If your looking for ideas, may I sugest the survival workout.

What this consists of is 1 gallon of water (camel back), 2 cans of tuna (not sure why yet), and a hunting knife.
Your goal is to be dropped off via helechopter to an undisclosed location whereupon you would need to get the head of a coppered-tail rattlesnake. You would then have to hike 86 miles in the mountains and bring the head of the snake to a witchdoctor that lives off the land. He would then inject you with the venom and you would be required to make it back to the landing zone for medical attention in under 1 (one) week.

Sounds crazy, I know..but it definitely works :sifone::smilielol5:
