So what does all this mean ?

Ok so i am 184cm/6.1 feet tall and weigh 130lbs/59kg and am 16 years and 8 months old and my BMI is 17.40 that is kinda bad hey ? and my BMR is 1,685.50
so how do i work out what a good food intake is from here ? oh and yeh i wana get gain muscle not loose fat...i think i aktualy need some lol

To gain weight you need to eat about 500 calories a day above your maintenance level. If you need to gain fat too then I quess you could up that to whatever you want really. 1,500 calories roughly translates to 1lb of body weight so eating 500 calories more per day will equate to about 2 lbs gain each week

Well shouldent my bmi be like 20 not 17.40 ? and wont i just get that by puting on a litel bit more fat ? and how do i find out my maintenance level of caloric intake per day ?

BMI is just an indication, my BMI is over 27 but I hardly have any fat.

To find out your maintenance level go to , that'll give you a number that you then need to multiply by an activity level to get your magic number (just follow online instructions). Add 500 to the figure you get and then make sure you eat that number of calories every day.
To gain muscle rather than fat try a full body workout 3 times a week

So if I'm trying to lose fat and maintain LBM I should subtract 500 from my BMR number and limit it to that amount? Also-- what ratio should I shoot for? Protein/Fat/Carbs? I've been tracking my diet on FitDay, but am still not entirely sure what it should look like.

As i read, and read more here, it gets hard to tell what to do Doc. I'm thinking maybe jkingsize milky ways are 'key' to diet!! bad diet!! So, I'm just going to eat this one more..... but then I will swim 2 miles tonight.

crap,,, now that I typed that, I am tossing this candy bar. this place is workign great for me.....

who are the professionals?

If you've followed the instructions on that site and multiplied your BMR number by the factor that relates to your activity level then yes you need to subtract 500 calories from that figure in order to lose 1-2 lbs a week.
Make sure that you're doing a full body workout while in a calorie deficit to limit muscle loss
