Sport So I just got into cardio, and have a few questions

Sport Fitness
Well I used to be pretty fat. I was at about 30% BF for a while, and now I've trimmed down to about 17 or 18%. I've done this all through diet, without the aid of any cardio. So now I wanna boost my weightloss and got a membership at a gym. So now I'll be doing a lot of cardio.

So before I went there today, I took an ECA stack. I then had to walk to the gym (about an hour, burning about 150 calories) and did 15 minutes on the treadmill, apparently burning 150 calories. Then I did 15 minutes on a crosstrainer, burning 150 calories. Then I tried some huge stair climbing machine and found it really painful on the legs, so I burned 50 calories and got off. I also did 15 minutes on a spinning machine and burned 120 calories. (All these calories burned numbers are just what I got from the machine readouts)

So that was my routine. I easily could have done more but I had to leave. After the workout I drank a whey and milk protein shake (30g protein) and a bottle of Stacker2 protein water (20g protein)

I then had to walk an hour back home, burning about 150 calories. Does this look like an effective routine? How often should cardio be done for maximum fatloss? What measures can I take to prevent muscle loss? Thanks for any help.

Seems like your almost overdoing it....Im confused on how you went from 30% to 18% thats crzy, w/o cardio. Seems like you know what your doing by getting enough protein and all.

Well it definitely took some time, It's just now that I'm starting to look good it makes me wanna get there quicker. I've been watching the flab fall off my abs and I know I'm really close to my goal of getting them to show, so I decided to get into the cardio. And ya, I've got my diet nailed pretty well. If anyone can answer those few qustions at the end there, please fill me in. Thanks a lot

Make sure you are eating enough "QUALITY" foods. Don't starve yourself. In the end it will depend on your diet in order to achieve your goal.

Unless your diet is in tune with keeping what muscle you have, you are going to burn alot of muscle with the fat.

Do you plan on incorporating weight training along with your cardio?

Keeping your protein up and lifting in the 85%+ of your 1RMs will help to keep muscle wasting away.
