Hi all!

Ive had an interesting last 2 or so years. At the height of my weight I weighed 320 pounds. After about a year or so of better eating, etc I lost quite a bit and got down to 185. Ive recently gained about 35 pounds or so and am now sitting at 222 pounds. I'm a male 25 year old who is 6"1. Ive been trying to figure out better eating to get the flatter stomach and all but its so confusing on what to eat? I dont eat ice cream, cookies, chips, packaged microwavable meals, etc. To be honest my current diet consists of sandwhiches, yogurt, low calorie/sugar juice and a few other things. I also go to the gym 6 days a week, as when I lost that weight I feel I also probably lost muscle as well. I do 3 days of weight training and 3 days of cardio on the treadmill. Am I doing anything right? I want to lose 30 or so pounds and be leaner but build up the muscle but not get big. Im trying to work it so I can take off my shirt this summer! whats a guy to do?

Try to eat more veggies, they will help lean you down a little and flatten your stomach. Also, make sure your not "overworking," yourself with your workouts. If you noticed you reached a point where your not losing anything, take a few days off and change your workout. Also, cut down on the sugar juice drinks and drink something like V8 or just stick to water. The sugar drinks could really be bad depending on how many you drink a day. Also, pay attention what you are putting on your sandwiches, wheat bread/flat bread are good as well as using turkey/chicken and mustard (although I'm sure you know whats good to eat already :D ).

Your workout sounds good, but are you pushing yourself? Like I said before, you gotta switch-up your workout and challenge yourself.

to much cardio is not good for maintaining muscle mass, what do you do on non cardio days ? you should not be concerned about getting to big, it takes a LOT or work to get big and when you reach your desired muscle size it is easy to change routine to maintain your muscle at that level.

Okay, I could do stuff like raw carrots and broccoli? these fruit juice drinks have anywhere between 2g-10g of sugar, is that still pretty bad?

Ive recently learned that! On non cardio days (which is the other 3 days of the week) im doing weight training with a friend whos a licensed personal trainer. we work differant muscle groups on each day. ohh alrighty I understand, so it takes a ton of work to get really big, so I shouldnt be worried about it?
