Hey everyone, i figured i would start a thread to talk about this amazing winter sport since winter is closing in.
I myself been skiing and snowboarding since age 5 (i'm 24 right now) i consider myself a pretty good rider and it's been one of my passion for most of my life. I cannot wait to get back on the slope this year, 70+ pound lighter than when i last rided 2 years ago (i couldn't last year due to medical condition). One of my goal while loosing weight was to get lighter to get into snowboarding jumping/tricks, but you all know the law of gravity and it's much harder for bigger guys to absorb the impact and all, so this is one thing im striving for.
So, is there any other mountain enthusiast out here ? Anyone eager to see the first snowflake drop and that smell in the air in during winter ? Have you noticed a difference riding down a mountain after loosing weight ? What equipement/gear are you using, how long you been riding, etc... ?
Can't wait for winter !
