Sport smoothies...

Sport Fitness
I've never been a huge fan of smoothies (healthy ones anyway...) but I think I've found a good one.. just thought I'd share the recipe :)

1/2 banana
3/4 c strawberries
6 large spinach leaves
1/3 c nonfat greek yogurt
3/4 c lowfat milk
1 tbsp ground flaxseed

pretty simple.. but keeps me full for a long time!

:sport: Ive never heard of spinach in a shake before.

I was a little weary myself.. but between the yogurt and fruit, you don't taste it at all, and it boosts the nutrients!

What is the nutrition value (protein, carbs, fats) of such a smoothie? What are your fitness aims? I personally would not take such a smoothie but your goals may not be the same as mine.

Nothing too specific... just eat better and lose a few pounds :) It keeps me full until lunch ... I was seriousy a donut eating fast food loving bum lol, just trying to eat more nutritious foods.

Y not read the nutrition sticky and eat 5 to 6 small meals rather than some calorie-dense giant smoothie. If you have stuff like oats or fibre you will feel full and have a chance to spread your calories.

What???

First of all I dont know about the OP but i eat 6 meals per day and this is no giant calorie dense shake..lol.
2nd they are used as one meal of many.
3rd its a great easy way to add calories, protein, fats, carbs and fiber to your diet especially if you're trying to add mass.

How do your personal circumstances fit in with that of the OP who is trying to cut and you mention adding mass? There is no one-size-fits-all diet I'm afraid.

My bad, I missed where it said OP wanted to cut. :(

But i still dont think adding a shake as one of your 6 meals isnt a bad idea and i think the one posted is not very calorie dense, but i guess that depends on how many calories they're taking in the rest of the day.
