Sport Smaller meal question

Is it better to focus on getting in the proper amount of protein/carb/fats or making sure you get in enough calories?

Sometimes it's hard to do both
 
If you are eating the right foods, the calorie count should fall into place.
 
I'm agree alot with tony. Definitely focus on eating "macro" nutrients and the timing for best effects. As you get a better understanding of how to eat.....THEN you can play with caloric intake.
 
Okay awesome.

Because I'm carb-cycling presently to drop this last bit of body fat (3 low days, 1 high)

On the low days, I try to consume about 100g carbs, and around 200-300g carbs on the high days.

And I just noticed that today I am at about 120g carbs for a low day! A bit upset at myself, but tomorrow is my high day.

As for timing meals, I switch the intervals between 3 and 2 hours between meals, eating 5 meals a day.
