Before I get into my actual topic, I just want to say that my username is a bit misleading. When I made this account, I was suffering from an eating disorder, so I was not mentally in the best state. But I would just like to say that I am looking for totally healthy methods of weight and fat loss.

Now, on to my real topic. I am wanting to get a little bit of a smaller waist. Just about everyone says that I am tiny but I am not quite happy with my waistline. Basically I am just looking for some tips on how to lose some of the fat around my belly and waist.

I am sorry to say, you cannot spot reduce, usually the first place you put fat on will be the last place you will loose it.

Agree with the last post, you cannot spot reduce. I found out that once your body has fixed issues, by proper eating, then you will start to lose weight. The legs are usually the last place to lose, and sometimes it might take a really long time. If the weight does not come off after you have been trying to lose for a while, then you may have other issues, such as age(?) or not eating properly. Eat as close to nature as you can, and count the amount of fat going into your body.

1. Start with the serving information at the top of the label
2. Check the total calories per serving
3. Limit these nutrients: Fats, sugars, sodium, and beware of cholesterol levels
4. Make sure you get enough of these nutrients such as dietary fiber, protein, calcium, iron, & vitamins
5. Quick guide to % daily value:
The DV tells you the precentage of each nutrient in a single serving. If you want to consume less of a nutrient choose foods with a lower than 5% DV.
Note:
When the Nutritional Facts label says a food contains "0 g" of trans fat, but includes "partially hydrogenated oil" in the list, it means that the food contains trans fat, but less than 0.5 grams of fat per serving. So if you are eating more than one serving, you could quickly reach your daily limit of trans fat.

If things does not works for you, there are lots of options or program that can help you. Continue your journey to find what programs works for you. Many people are willing to listen and help you to achieve your goals. You are not alone. I feel the same way. Try something simple and easy way to cut down some weight by drinking warm lemon water with honey or little bit sugar in the morning. Do it everyday and see the results after few weeks.

camillesmith what is your proof concerning this ? adding extra sugar to anything is usually not good.

I am drinking lemon water everyday and honestly I don't like the taste. When I add little bit of sugar for the taste. It's totally optional. If it can helps you why not. Sugar is not bad in our body. Consuming it too much that is bad. Simple.

I would consider using honey over sugar, goggle sugar and you will come up with lots and lots of reasons to not have it in your diet, even in minimal amounts..

It's totally optional on adding extra sugar on lemon water, don't take it wrong.
