Slow forum?

is it just me, or has the forum been insanly slow latly? it takes ages to load, and i often have try multiple times before i get into a subforum/thread/etc..

I am on dial up and i cruise around just fine in this forum. I have not encountered the problems you are talking about.

I have had slow experiences with the forum, however atm it's fine. I'm on 8mb broadband dial-up however it normally is around 4mb.

it seems to be clearing up a bit now... but when i posted this it was friggin bad!.. all other pages worked fine.

I am getting some off and on slowness Karky. Always clear your cache and private data everywhere so often, that usually will pick things back up a lot.

doesnt the fact that every other site on the net go as fast as always mean it cant be my computer?

Could possibly your browser. Which are you using? When i use Internet Explore (7) all sites go much slower then when i use FireFox (this site especially!).

But, generally yes if all other sites are going at normal pace and this one is going slow then that would say its the site. However if none of us are going slower then normal that could say is your fault ;).

If it was the browser though, then surely more people would have a problem. Maybe it's some European problem.

Internet Explorer 7 is very slow.

They have concentrated too much on the interface rather than the efficiency of the program.

My pages load pretty slow, primarily because of IE7.

I want to go back to IE6 but my laptop won't let me :(

Opera is causing me no end of problems. Maybe you could help me out. An error console message keeps coming up. This is for every site I go on. It never used to happen.

I would suggest you uninstall and download/install the latest 9.20 before trying to correct problems that the latest release might fix.

I use FireFox and love it.

I have IE7, but won't use it unless a site requires it for something. I can't believe they just recently came out with tabbed browsing, and acted like they invented something new and amazing.
