Hi everyone,
My name is Chrissy :) I lost about 65 lbs 2 years ago with portion control and exercise. Somewhere along the way I got lazy with my diet and stopped exercising completely. Surprise surprise, I gained 10 lbs over the past year. I've got to get straight with my goals again but am having a hard time motivating myself. I've been doing a lot of emotional eating recently. I thought this website was so inspiring so I decided to join in. Thanks for all the support friends!

Hi Chrissy... welcome to the community! Congrats to you for losing as much as you did and... more importantly... keeping so much of it off. That's very telling of your commitment to yourself. While I'm sure the slight slip feels bad... what you've accomplished over 2 years is remarkable relative to what most people experience.

So slipping...

Remember... this ride isn't a straight line. For a variety of reasons, we all slip. And when we do, we have a choice of letting the slip define us or using it as a springboard to learn something about the process or ourselves and invest that lesson into a better version of ourselves right now.

What is the easiest change you think you can start making today for the next couple of weeks?

Hi Chrissie & welcome to the forum. :iagree: with Steve. Holding off most of that loss is an excellent achievement. Imagine how good you will feel getting right back on track, eating well & exercising. You will be investing in your future self & you are well worth that effort. If you feel like starting your own diary there is a lot of support to be had over in the diary section of this forum at http://weight-loss.fitness.com/forums/weight-loss-diary.9/
There are many supportive & positive members, who may be able to help you find some motivation. To me, the best motivation is feeling good within myself. I feel much better. It's not so much about how I look, although that comes into it too, but I feel so much more energetic & healthy.
There is also so much info in the forum, especially in the "stickies" at the top of most sections.

Cheers, Cate.
