Slight Problem

Hello all,
I have a bit of a problem whenever I run. After (around) just under a mile I start to taste blood (I don't cough it up or anything) and my mucus becomes rather thick and slimey (not trying to be disgusting but I don't think this is healthy). I hope someone will be able to help, as I have to start running again soon.

I've experienced this before too, but I'm not sure what causes it. In my case, it only seems to happen when I really over do my running and push myself too far.
