Hi folks....wow, i just logged in and realized i worried some of u! Im so sorry for that. Im here, Im well, and Im still plugging away. I really truly did just take a two week hiatus. Naughty me!!!:eek:

I will try to log in more often. I havent gained nor lost anything, but have definitely 'done what i pleased' for those two weeks. burn out i guess....but back with a newfound commitment today, and ready to roll!!

things at home are changing for the better...dramatically better, im happy to say. so far, looks like marriage is good....i sure hope it stays this way!

ok, heres my food and exercise for today...

three miles or about an hour
another half hour.
hour and a half total(dont know how far i walked at ds school?, so am gonna post time instead)

steak left over 300
watermelon 200
lime chicken 200
cucumbers and tomatoes plain 50
coffee plain
lettuce salad, vinegar
watermelon small 50

I am working closely with my doctor for a new diet, that allows me to take in less than 1000 cals...she said that it ought to work well for me, because im a petite woman, and havent had any significant loss in almost two months despite my walks and cal counting. she has told me to eat 800 cals for four days, then 1000 to 1200 for three...and go b ack and forth like that for the next six weeks. Now, I dont know how easy this will be, but she prescribed me some iron and multivitamins, and told me to keep doing my water and do no less than an hour a day of walking, more if possible.

Hopefully I wont worry so many folks, and again, I sure am sorry to have played hookie so long!

hey ya Kate! You enjoyed your time off ( I hope) and now your back at it - thats what counts :D You'll do fine on the new "d" word :D I just know it :D
 
Yay! You're back! I was getting so worried about you, I asked MissJ to call to make sure you were OK! :D I'm so glad that you didn't gain any weight during your time off. That is great! :D

today i managed walking an hourandahalf already,and its not even ten am. that IS good for me!!

Hey Kate!! Welcome back. Your doctor wasn't concerned with eating less than 1200 calories /day? I am confused b/c so many are telling me to UP the calories to about 1350 b/c I havent lost in a little while and they think my body is "holding onto the pounds" bc of all the exercise. Interesting to hear that from a doctor, so just curious?!

yes she told me that its all mathematics, really. she said i was plenty healthy enuff to go down that low, and since i have been walking for four months, to just up the miles. so i am. nope, she said as long as i keep in touch with her with stuff like dizziness, cramping, etc etc and keep taking my vitamins, that i should be just fine, and should see a decent weight loss. She said to do this for the next six weeks, see her then, and then decide if i need to go longer to get to goal. she also said i may or may not make it as low as 120, because some bodies just dont want to go to whatever weight u pick, because they like to be at a good, but happy weight...weird it sounds like im talking about bodies like they are separate from us! hmm...

anyways, she told me to do something like, mon thru thurs or fri, 800, then 1200 on the weekends, but not to stop the walking,and my loss should start picking up good again. im not gonna weigh in till next week or even the week after, but i 'feel' fine so far.

wow kate, that is interesting. thank you for sharing. i know we have the same "goal date" and i'm wondering that i might try that plan. we have 7 weeks left!! hmmm. interesting..

funny b/c i've had like 800 calories today and i am not the slightest bit hungry. sorry to hog your journal but thanks for the info!!
 
hey yall!

im rejuvenated thats for sure!...June 17th isnt far at all, and its not entirely impossible for me to get to about 125 by that date. its a race against time i tell ya! but the 2 weeks off was EXACTLY what i needed! it helped me regroup, and made me more determined than ever to reach goal. I realized too, that my 25 yr high school reunion is this fall!!!!!! yikes, yet another reason to be smaller, for sure!

biggest reason tho, is getting off these meds, and FEELING GREAT! doing five mile a day is pretty mandatory for me now. if i can get more, its just gravy to me! and not the calorie kind either!:D

exercise: hour and a half...hope to get another half hour in later at d's school.
i posted some pics in before and after, so look at your own risk..it was a day of pure debauchery and fun, and i had TOO much fun, in spite of my mean sister for volunteering me all the time at the expense of my ego...lol

So your wedding event is on June 17th? That's the day I walk the stage for graduation. Whoo hoo! I'm also trying to loose weight for that event.

Looks like you are a walking machine as usual! Go girl!!
 
thanks yall. yeah, the walking isnt as hard as the'just say no' to whatever tasty treats come my way. I hate that, but i guess its going to be a struggle for the rest of my life. I look back and am so thankful my 'mean' daddy made us all run a mile a day back years ago! Once he pitted me against a boy my age(13) and ran my fastest mile..6:37. Yep, to this day I cant outdo it, but I sure do remember it!(we tied btw):D:p
