Sit-ups, Crunches, leg-lifts and Push-Ups

When you first started how many could you do? And why, oh why, are so many excersizes hypenated?

I was doing these excersizes tonight, combined with some low weight high rep upper body weight training and I realized its been so long since I've done these simple excersizes that I can't even manage 10 before I about pop a vein in my head. And now I know I'm so totally going to be sore tomorrow and I start my cardio tomorrow moring while the tyke is in pre-K. Love to hear your experiences and I can't wait till I can do a hundred sit ups again.
