Besides dumbbells and barbells, there are lots of other pieces of home exercise equipment one can buy for developing muscles (at least for flexibility, tone, and control if not for bulk). I'm not referring to home gyms, nor am I referring to cardio equipment. I'm just talking about things like medicine balls, exercise balls, wobble boards, resistance bands, and other simple items one can get for under $100. Given that I have barely ever cared about anything except team sports and running, I really don't know much about any of these things. I realize this is a really general question, but what do people like and consider worthwhile and what do people think is a waste of money and space? Keep in mind that I'm not looking to get really big, and even though I get suspicious of items that have more pictures of women on the package than men, such items might be what I need. I'm more interested in power and speed than brute strength.
