Should we have a Bench Chart?

Should we create a bench press chart, similar to the DL and Squat charts?

I definately think we should, its the most popular lift known to man!

I order someone to create this chart! :)
 
I've been thinking about this, and I don't know. Having a DL and squat chart is kind of our way of sending the message that the bench isn't really the king when it comes to measuring strenght. I hate it how everyone asks "how much ya' bench?" all the time, when it really should be "how much ya' pull" or "how much ya' squat?"
 
I know Kark i know..but thats the exact reason why we should have one because everyone likes to know how much we all bench.

whenever someone asks me how much I bench, my reply is asking them how much they dead.
it would actually be cooler to have a push press chart, as that's a way more "functional" way of pressing and is way cooler... but I don't think a lot of people here do push press :(
 
it's like a military press only you help a lot with your legs.
And if others want it then I'm all for. I just don't really have any strong opinion either way.
 
I don't mind being asked what I bench by someone who actually knows that there are other lifts than benching. But I hate it how people seem to think that the bench press is the best measure of strenght. You meet someone new and you both work out, the first thing they will ask you about is how much you bench. why? it's poison! People think benching is the all and all, and it's not.

The point is, people ask others how much they bench to measure their strenght and compare it to their own. If someone asks me for another reason than this, It's fine.
 
Karky i know what your saying, but most people on here DO know that other lifts are important. Im just saying because its a popular lift we should do it.

yeah, that is true. But we should have a disclaimer at the beginning, so newbies who come to the site don't think we're all bench and nothing else :D :p

That's fine with me :)

But anyway, no matter what happens, i think it would be fun to include a new lift chart. Preferably Bench press!
 
Bench press is probably my strongest lift, but I still don't care because I'm unconcerned with my 1 rep max. I couldn't even tell you what it is...on any exercise

It does seem odd to have two powerlifting lifts charted and not the third though
 
Yeah, let's get a bench chart! The three big lifts are the DL, Squat, and the bench! So let's get one eh?! I think it'd be sweet. I've thought of it before too.

Whats makes the Bench any better than a military press ?
