i was about 240 pounds about 2 years ago and now i'm around 155, lost most of it the first year, then continued eating right but exercised less frequently. I still have some flab on my belly and butt, seems like the skin might be somewhat loose as well...from what ive read on other threads people seem to think weights are answer, a lot of squats, dead lifts, rows etc. im 20 years old, 5'8 and 155 pounds so i dont know if cutting, doing cardio and losing more pounds would be a good idea. any advice? how bad does it look? (i wont be offended, because im sure no one can find it much worse then i do )

I'm very curious to see someone/members answer this. This is basically where I'm at. I was 240 and now I'm down to 166. I find myself with some excess skin around my belly and chest area.

I dont want to get any smaller so I'm not quite sure which route to take.

If you want to tone, get stonger, look better, feel better lift weights.

By the way, you can still do cardio. Congrats on both of you loosing so much weight!

From those photos, you're actually looking a lot better than I expected based on what you'd written. I'm no expert when it comes to excess skin, but I suspect that filling it in with extra muscle might tighten up your apperance?

If you build up your upper back it will sort out a lot of the excess belly skin, well excess skin all round really as your lats are big muscles. And build up your pecs to fill out the excess chest skin as well and things like dips and planks will help tuck everything in too.

sometimes when your are fat for a long time (like me), its hard to lose that extra skin, but if you are still skinny, you NEED to lift weights to grow. You already did a great job of losing FAT, now do a great job at gaining MUSCLE
