Should I eat, THEN burn it off?

I got a treadmill yesterday. It's great.

I was thinking.. if I eat something, like for breakfast I had weetabix and strawberries, 240 calories. Should I go on the treadmill and try to burn the same amount of calories off every time?

Maybe not after every meal, cause most of the time I'm not home.. but should I add the calories up and try to burn off that much?

From my own personal experience I'd say no, but I'm not a doc. I'd treadmill first then eat, unless you plan at eating 3 hrs before. Also you don't want to burn every calorie you eat cause your still need to store some calories for fat. If I'm wrong some one please correct me.

What I said just seems like the obvious thing to do, to burn more calories than you eat. I don't know though.

Maybe treadmill, then eat nutritious food, and wait a few hours before you treadmill again, to give your body enough time to take what it needs from your food, then burn of the excess?

I definitely need some advice if that ^ is wrong, haha.

I believe if you exercise first it kick starts yur metbo, then if you eat after, you'll burn the calories you consume faster leaving less calories to be stored at as fat. Also I follow a lot of old wives tales as there is usually some truth, like don't going swimming after you eat cause you may lose yur lunch, not by burning calories either. i heard on Bravo's workout you should eat three hour before you work out or wait to eat until after you exercise. Plus I spent 14 year and the Army and we always exercise first except when the drill sgt wanted us to throw up. As far as treadmill after every meal, I wouldn't you need your body to recover unless you want to loss muscle at well.

^ That also makes sense. I still don't know what to do though.

Should I exercise before I eat breakfast? I can't use the treadmill before midday (it's right below where my parents sleep), so is there anything else I can do to get my metabolism up?

How long should I wait after eating, to do it again?

Really, what I need to know for sure, is should I exercise to get my metabolism up before I eat, so I will burn it off quicker?

Confused.

Eating breakfast will boost your metabolism. Remember you dont exercise off all your calories. You need cals to function. The majority of your cals are burned by your bodies natural processes (RMR).

If you think about it...your body has been fasting all night...so you really need to give it some fuel the minute you get out of bed.

This will give your body the energy it needs to be able to exercise and you'll likely have a better workout too!

IMO
