Should I be taking any supplements?

Should I be taking any protein or supplements if my main goal is to lower body fat? If yes what should I be taking? A basic multi-vitamin and some whey protein?

Another problem I'm having is after my morning cardio session, not sure if its a sign of fatigue setting in because I wakeup at 5am in the morning to hit the gym, but I just start feeling tired on my drive into work. Which is not a good thing lol, should I be taking some kinda energy supplement in the morning?

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Working out is the best and safest way to reduce body fat.

What do you eat for breakfast? What do you eat after your cardio session?

When you get up, you've just starved yourself for 7-8 hours. Your body desperately needs protein, fat and carbs. If it doesn't get properly fuelled, you'll just start cannibalizing your muscle tissue because it is far easier for your body to convert muscle tissue into energy than fat.

yoru post cardio meal is bad for fat loss. Bagels...that's ultra processed carbs. You may as well eat sugar.

and the peanut butter slows down digestion....avoid taking in much fat immediately post workout. give yourself 90 minutes.

a multi-vitamin is always good insurance for getting your minerals and such. I like Life Force by Source Naturals because its easily absorbed by the body.

a whey shake isn't bad either, assuming you NEED the protein and its not pushing you over your daily calorie needs.

yeah id at least eat a small granola bar or something so you dont pass out during your workouts. i mean seeing as your goal is to lower body fat, its good to not eat too much before hand as you would if you were trying to bulk up but eating nothing is bad especially since your just waking up.

I'd definitely drink a protein shake before hitting the gym for weight training. otherwise you start the routine in a catabolic state...and that's just no good at all.

for cardio, I wouldn't be doing anything crazy intense on an empty stomach...same reason. fasted cardio in the morning....go for a more moderate pace, for like 40 minutes (rather than less time and more intensity)
