Last weekend I went biking on an out of town trail, biked a total of 40 miles in two days. Okay, that's not a lot for a triathlete, but way more than I usually bike in two days. Weighed myself on Monday and I had GAINED two pounds since Friday! A little discouraging, to say the least.
I seem to remember reading something about the muscle fibers swelling in response to unaccustomed exercise, resulting in a noticeable water weight gain. Has anybody else heard of that?
