Short term HIIT program

Ok just had my first HIIT session on the treadmill, or best I could do with those controls ...
I've not had a break from weights for a while, maybe 12+ weeks so I was thinking of having this week for HIIT, no weights, then starting a new program the week after, to gain some muscle for 8-12 weeks before finishing off my weight loss.

There's not much info to go on from your post, but it leaves me with the following questions.

You haven't had a break from weights in 12 weeks. Does that mean you were doing weights every day?

This week is for HIIT. Does that mean you're doing HIIT every day?
 
I was doing a upper/lower split, so 4 days a week in total. But I did overtrain massively in my first few months, hitting the same muscle daily...
It's either this or take next week to find my weights and get used to my new program :)
HIIT most days, I'll work in a rest day or two during the week.

I'm not sure if my stomach is loose, fat, or a mixture of both right now to be honest, and the plan was to bulk up a bit, gaining some fat in the process then drop that fat at a safe pace, to make sure everything tightens up as it should. I'm going away in 4-5weeks and I basically want to look best I can by then :)
