Short casual exercises?

Hey all,

I'm going to move back to university very soon and won't have nearly as much time to exercise or the facilities that I do at home. I intend to keep building muscle and losing a bit of fat in 1-2 hour sessions 2 or 3 times a week, but was wondering if there were any exercises that I could/should do in short bursts throughout the day in my breaks from the computer to keep my metabolism up.

Is this a good idea? Should I exercise intensely or lightly in these sessions?

Any advice please?

Cheers!

im not sure what kind of freedom you have at your desk, you could bring weights, or look in to body weight workouts, trade your chair in for a large exercise ball, do squats with bodyweight, wall sits.
edit: lol didn't realize im in the body weight part of the forum lol.

the only I can think of that might help is shadow boxing. Since it's not that hard on your body(joints and muscles), you can probably do this everyday without it effecting you. Plus you get better at boxing(incase a computer gets out of control):yelrotflmao:

Pick up the August Issue of I THINK Mens Fitness if you can find it. It had a whole section dedicated to situations like yours with some really cool workouts you can do while in a shirt and tie in short bursts to keep things going while in an office atmosphere.

Any movement and exercise is better than nothing.
