Wow I cant believe how long its been since I been here! Well happy to report Ive been doing great with shedding the baby weight and more! Im thinking I would like to shed 15 more pounds, but its all about what I see. As much as Im doing better on the scale its the muscle tone Im working towards. Shockinly Ive been very into cardio - I was joggin/runnin 2miles plus, for 5 days a week on treadmill for 30mins. And I also take my son on a 45 min walk weather permittin. But got really bad shin splints and fell into a slump this pass week so I thought this journal could help, and having some peeps to encourage me!:violent:

Thurs 10-28

Treadmil- 5min warm up jogged for mile, took 12min, then 3 min cool down. Was curious to see how long a mile took at even pace - the 13th me and the DH are doing a 5k! Never did one, thought could be incouragin.

Went walking with DS and had him strapped to me - all the sudden hates stroller! So walked for an hour with 21lbs tied to front of me! While pushing my friends twins! lol Im shot now!
 
Will you be throwing any resistance training into your routine? It will definitely improve your muscle tone while at the same time making your body a more efficient calorie burning machine. Keep up the good work!!!
 
We just set up the home gym- so yes....Im tossing around ideas as to what Im going to do - full body or 2 muscles at a time. I love weight training but its been so long Im overwhelmed at where to begin. I was going to try to do cardio in am then weights at night since I have more time and since its enjoyable as tired as Iam Ill do it.
 
You might want to do the weights first, as you'll want maximal effort/capacity when you do them. With cardio, you won't need maximal effort so much as endurance.
 
Hey Tom! Nice to hear from u! I prob can get both weights and cardio done in the morn. The baby naps for 90min - so u think I can weight train 30min then cardio 30min, so I have the other 30 to shower etc? Hmm or maybe I should do full body 3 days and cardio 3days one day off??

I tell you my abs and inner thighs were sore today!

Today I did a pilates cardio video for 30min. I love pilates for the core!
 
I saw the best results after I got serious about the resistance training. After a certain age and kids, it helps immensley! Good Luck!
