Shelf life of Creatine

Does anybody know the shelf life of Creatine Monohydrate. I have a container of the stuff thats been in my cupboard for 2 years now and want to know if it's still o.k. I understand when mixed with water creatine loses it's effectiveness within 20 minutes but what if it's just being stored?

creatine monohydrate has an extremely long shelf-life (I'm talking years) so, you should be okay. Is there a 'use by' date on the packet?

thats a lie said by some supplement companies. in reality, it can last pretty well in liquid for up to 8 hours. but i would recommend mixing it in liquid right before you consume it.
